A really well located property. It's nice and new and pretty and seems to run well. The breakfast was good and the communal area was comfortable. I'd say it wasn't particularly social or atmospheric but I wasn't really expecting/ requiring this. It was perfect for what I needed and I would consider staying again the only thing that might put me off/ that I would warn others is- I booked for a 4 person 'dorm' (it's been a while since I stayed in a hostel and was willing to pay more to stay somewhere nice and in a smaller room to avoid noise/ chaos!). Essentially it's more like a 36 person dorm divided into sections of 4 or 5 however most of these spaces aren't actually separate with doors. Therefore if there was a loud noise I suspect everyone would hear it. Thankfully I slept very well and wasn't disrupted, however if I wasn't a good sleeper/ more sensitive to noise I'd perhaps be unhappy with this and be disappointed that I wasn't in a separate dorm or 4. Additionally, some of the 'dorms' were close to the bathroom- see noise issue relating to This below. The only other things I would mention however - more for management- More lighting options in the bed spaces would be nice! Such as a mood/ reading light and also to be able to control the main light from the entrance of the pod. Also more hooks or small floating shelves in the bed spaces would be welcome- there is certainly scope for this. I'd also say that the individual bin takes up space unnecessarily and a single larger bin in each 'dorm' might work better'. Clear reminders of timings for hair dryer and washing machine/ dryer in the relevant areas would be useful. Guidance was given on a sheet at check in but I think this could easily be missed/ forgotten. Most days I experienced either people drying their hair late (eg midnight!) or doing laundry outside the specified times.

Da am Hotel was exceptional! Location was just perfect, quiet but very close to the bus stop and to the 2 metro stops. Also very close by the Jongno area which is great for going out. Best part about the location was that the airport shuttle has its stop just 5 mins walks from the hotel. Ticket must be purchased from the airport when coming to Seoul and bought directly from the driver when leaving Seoul. Bus number 6011. In terms of the hotel itself, I have just good words. Very clean, amazing breakfast, amazing staff, very helpful and very polite. There’s a washing machine and a thumble dryer which are feee of charge. Just a very small amount for the washing liquid. It is very quiet, hence I don’t recommend it for people who are looking for parties. Towels are changed every day along with a free bottle of water. There’s also a robe which is provided on the first day. There’s also a rooftop terrace with an amazing view and with a smoking corner. Also, there is a CU store just 1 min walks from the hotel where you can get the Climate Card which is much better than the T Money card.

I stayed here before and after a tour. It is a nice place designed in a traditional style but with modern amenities. It felt comfortable staying here as a solo female traveller. I met kind people and made new friends here. It is very close to Changgyeonggung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Insadong Culture Street and Ikseondong Hanok Village. Many other attractions are also nearby or can be reached by the subway/bus. Buffet breakfast was very nice. And there are plenty of food options around too. Check-in/check-out was simple. They stored my luggage as well so I could do extra exploring. You can also see Namsan Tower if you go up to the roof terrace!

The location was most convenient; relatively near to a bus stop, convenience stores and restaurants (please do try eating at 전주식당, it’s a restaurant ran by a sweet 이모, just a few meters down the block, her dishes are so delicious). The rooms were so quiet and the common bathroom was clean. The breakfast buffets were delightful and the hotel lobby smelled nice. I also liked the view of Namsan Tower from the rooftop. The staff were also very helpful (thanks Mr. Jay for helping my friend order in Chinese food).

Excellent location - couldn't do better. Close to the beautiful streets of insadong, it's half way between two metro stations (on two different lines) and walking distance to lots of the famous cultural sites (palaces etc). It felt very safe and secure, especially for a solo female traveller. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel itself was clean. The free breakfast options were great and I thought the free use of laundry (washer/drier) was a great offering.
